Alliance Trials Mixed grades 9 - 13
We are excited to be getting ready for the 2021 football season and hope you are too.
This page has some important information on the Wellington United Juniors/Brooklyn Northern United Juniors (WUBNU) Alliance set-up and trials for the 2021 season.
What is the Alliance?
The Alliance is a collaboration between the two clubs. It also allows those players that wish to play at a premier level the opportunity to play in the strongest competition possible. This helps ensure that players play with those of a similar ability and therefore in an appropriate grade. This benefits all players whether they end up in a club or alliance team, and we encourage all players to trial.
The Alliance also allows our clubs to offer skill development sessions to both alliance and club players. We will again be offering open Skills sessions to any player that wants additional coaching.
What do Alliance teams offer?
Playing in an Alliance team offers an engaging environment to play with players of similar ability and compete in the strongest competition possible. This year all Alliance teams will have two team trainings a week and have pro-coach involvement at trainings and games.
To see the difference between our Alliance and Club teams please see our information chart below.
2021 Trial Information
Trials are relevant for any player in Mixed Grades Under 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13. We do not run trials for Girls Only teams.
To be eligible to trial you must be registered with either club by the 20th February. Details on the registration process are available here.
If your child wishes to only be considered for a WU or BNU club team they do not need to trial, and they will be allocated into a team by mid-March (if they have registered). Details on skill development sessions will be sent closer to the start of the season.
Below is trial information for relevant age groups:
